Drop Dead

Description:

This was an assignment from my Graphics Studio I class. In this project I had to design a fake brand and logo logo that would be utilized on a number of products and promotional materials. Drop Dead is a fake fashion brand that is for monster boys and girls who like to “stick it to the man” while looking cool doing so. I wanted the logo to be iconic like Adidas, Converse, Nike, and Vans “Off the Wall”. I decided it would be interesting to use a figure-ground relationship between the image looking like a skull while also at the same time looking like text that reads “DROP DEAD” to achieve that iconic and memorable effect that those various brands have.

Having trouble reading/viewing text and details?

  • On your computer:  All images can be expanded when clicking on them, however, if it’s not enough, right click on an image, then select “Open Image in New Tab” in the sub-menu that pops up. Once in the new tab you can click the image and zoom in with a much greater scale.
  • On your phone: Use your two fingers to pitch the screen and zoom in with ease.
